Our project with Lufthansa

Collaboration with SDX AG

We recently began supporting Deutsche Lufthansa AG in a project to prepare for the operational launch of the Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) – in close collaboration with our sister company SDX AG, which has been developing and maintaining the EFB platform since 2013.

Functional scope of the EFB

The EFB currently supports around 5,000 pilots in the complete preparation and execution of flights. It hosts central applications such as library, routing (including avionics data) and crew briefing, and provides a technical infrastructure that includes persistence, communication, authentication and user interface. In addition, the platform handles automated updates of documents and software components and ensures smooth connection to various backend systems.

Our contribution: testing, validation and quality assurance

Our contribution to the project includes the execution and documentation of test scenarios – both in the laboratory and directly in the aircraft – the validation of the content management system (CMS) and comprehensive quality assurance measures in a production-oriented environment. The aim is to ensure the reliable commissioning and long-term operational reliability of the platform.
